With a large mailing list, you have a loyal, verified group of customers who are willing to buy from you. This is far more favorable than arbitrarily trying to get strangers to buy whatever it is you are marketing. Anyone who is thinking about trying affiliate marketing needs to take the promises of huge, six figure incomes with a grain of salt and understand that such results aren’t normal. That does not mean you can’t make money, it only means that you should have realistic expectations of how much you can earn right now. As long as you understand that you can’t get rich overnight, you will be OK.
